Jet Dynamics was founded in 1990 by Glen Dilworth and Don Moyle, both of Burley, Idaho.  Glen acquired all rights to Jet Dynamics in 1998.  Glen and Don raced big jet boats in APBA circle racing.  This is where Glen gained his experience in Jet propelled competition Jet Boats.  Glen started building parts for himself and Don, who set a UIM mile and ¼ circle competition record in 1998, in Black Lake Washington. The record was 87.711 lap average.  The next year a friend asked Glen if he could fix his Kawasaki 650 X2 to keep the boat from cavitating.  He told him to take the jet ski and get it out of the shop.  Then after some persuasion he decided that he could learn more about their pumps and how different they were from the Berkley Pumps that he was used to working on.  He built the first Intake Grate and it work so well that you could be standing on the beach and hear that the ski had stopped cativating.  After figuring out how much potential that the Jet Ski industry had, they started the patent work on the intake grate.  The first few production parts were taken to a Jet Ski race in Long Beach Marine Stadium. Showing the product to many racers and finally getting one racer who happened to be Jeff Pruier, World Champion X2 rider.  Jeff went out on the practice course and coming out of the first turn he gas the boat and pulled both the feet off the back of the boat.  That is when Glen knew that putting some horsepower with the part he built would make the boat perform better.  Meeting one of the racers, Brett Wade, helped Glen get his parts approved for use in the Watercraft Racing.  Glen didn’t want to compromise the design of the Intake Grates, so in order to be approved for racing, the parts had to have two ¼ inch bars welded to each side of the part on the bottom.  Water would look at the bars like they weren’t there, being able to flow around them from almost any direction or angle.  Next he sent one to one of the Magazines, and they promised to do radar runs testing the part, in a hurry for a deadline they tested it and put in print that it slowed the 650SX standup down by 2 mph.  In the actual radar run they gained 2 mph.  It seems you can feel a white knuckle ride and think it’s fast, when you get some stability and handling it seems slow.  Going to several races Glen could stand on the beach and tell you what boats had Jet Dynamics parts on them, that is how Glen meet Eric Burton of Northern California.   The next year Jet Dynamics went to the World Finals in Lake Havasue City Arizona, and sold parts for the first time to the international jet ski racers.  Two years later Glen added a new product it was a Concave Ride Plate.  That year Glen meets Nicholas Rius, who eventually won the World Finals Championship with Jet Dynamics parts.  Another racer Shawn Sherman, 14 yrs old, took home 2nd in Novice Championship on a X2 also using our parts.  But he was able to acquire sponsorship from Glen and won the Expert Class the following year.   Many other Champions have used and continue to use our parts that revolutionize the Jet Ski industry. Glen has always tried to help racers because he knows how hard it is to acquire a sponsor.
